Clatterbridge Dialysis Unit

Clatterbridge Dialysis Unit is located in Clatterbridge Hospital in Bebington, situated in the main building next to Wirral Neurological Rehabilitation Unit. Since August 2008 the unit has been run in partnership with Fresenius Medical Care Renal Services Ltd.
The Unit has ten stations and two isolation rooms for patients requiring haemodialysis or haemodiafiltration using Fresenius 4008h dialysis machines. Each station/room has its own personal TV/radio, which provides all Freeview channels at no charge.

The Unit is open from Monday to Saturday and has two sessions a day - in the morning, and in the afternoon with the potential for opening a third shift in the evening.
Unlike Arrowe Park, the Clatterbridge Renal Unit is located away from medical wards so you get in via an intercom, which can only be used by staff members, in order to maintain patient and staff safety.
Please download a patients perspective whilst being on the Unit
Sandwiches and biscuits are served at lunchtime and teatime, hot meals are not provided. You may, however, bring your own cold food in with you.
The Unit Manager Lynda Hindley leads our nursing team of trained staff nurses, who all wear navy pants and a light blue tunic uniform with white trim.
Also within the Unit team are an onsite pharmacist, a dietician, a social worker and consultant Dr Daryanani, each of whom is dedicated to the health and general well being of all our patients. The staff do their best to make your treatment as pleasant as possible.
